A little about Joel Brown, PhD
|
Joel is the Principal and Owner of Aesir Consulting LLC. He received his undergraduate degree in Physics/Astronomy from the University of Montana, his M.S. in Geology from the University of Montana and his PhD in Geophysics from Boise State University. He has experience conducting field work on both the Greenland and Antarctic ice sheets, small mountain glaciers, and seasonal snowpack. He has also conducted geophysical surveys related to archaeological kiln detection, grave detection, hydraulic permittivity of soils, and sewer line mapping. Joel is familiar with large-scale modeling projects from editing, compiling, and loading model code to conducting large-scale glacial flow modeling of the entire Greenland Ice Sheet on multiple model platforms. Joel uses his experience in coding, GIS, modeling, and general glaciology to solve problems in a detailed accurate manner.
